HRA worked with the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) to redesign, rewrite, and reorganize its consumer website, in English and Spanish. We worked closely with the department to define user profiles, conduct usability-testing, and develop comprehensive, accurate, and limited-literacy content.

The DMHC is California's go-to place for help when health plan members have problems with their plans. The site gives health plan members the information and forms they need to file a complaint or request an Independent Medical Review from the state. The site explains many complex issues for California consumers, such as COBRA and Cal-COBRA, language access rights, and continuity of care.
