Whyalla is a remote community of 23,000 people located on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. Advancing Whyalla, a community coalition, developed and printed a guide based on the Wellness Guide model developed by Health Research for Action. The guide has information and resources on parenting, being a teenager, growing older, health issues, and basic needs. Approximately 12,000 guides were distributed to all 10,000 homes in Whyalla, as well as to many health-care providers.
