Health Professions Partnership Initiative

We don't accept disparities! For many years, Health Research for Action has worked with key partners to address the lagging rates at which African American and Latino students enroll in and graduate from college.

Working with the Health Professions Partnership Initiative, we help minority youth pursue a higher education and enter the health professions.

This partnership includes:

• Parents, teachers, and administrators in local secondary schools.
• University of California educators and students and the Lawrence Hall of Science.
• Academic and professional programs in Laney, Samual Merritt, and other local colleges.
• Colleagues and experts in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's national initiative to increase diversity in health professions.
