Healthy Aging Network

The University of California, Berkeley is one of nine university research sites in The Healthy Aging Network funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The first five years of the project focused on physical activity in older adults. Health Research for Action and other researchers at UC Berkeley have recently added research on the Healthy Brain and depression in older adults.

The UC Berkeley research site has a 20-member community advisory board of service providers, researchers, policymakers, and community members. They ensure that the project has a positive impact in local communities.

We work closely with the other eight research sites to disseminate and translate research nationwide.
