Health Research for Action develops easy-to-read, easy-to-use health resources that address literacy levels, design, and cultural considerations. We have over 20 years’ experience helping all consumers, especially those with limited reading skills, understand and act on important health information.
We live in a richly diverse nation. So we produce materials in many languages and in alternative formats such as Braille, audio, large print, and DVD. We're proud to have had a role in helping to bring important health messages to more than 10 million people in the form and style most appropriate to their needs.
HRA also addresses critical communications and policy issues, as well as research findings, through its award-winning publication series, Perspectives.
Hear Linda Neuhauser talk about HRA's "Participatory Approach for Communicating with Diverse Audiences" at Helen Osborne's Health Literacy Out Loud.
