HRA Administration
William Brown III, MA, DrPH (c), is eCommunications and Administrative Specialist. Prior to joining HRA in 2006, William had six years of administrative experience, in the Dean's Office for the College of Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University and the UC Davis Annual Fund. William also holds research positions at the Public Health Institute in Oakland and the Psychology Department at the University of Utah. He lectures in new media, eHealth, and social networking applications for public health promotion. William is a doctoral candidate at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health, and has an MA in Human Sexuality Studies from San Francisco State University and a BA in Sociology and African American Studies from UC Davis.
Diana Darab, PhD, is the Director of Operations. Before joining HRA in 2006, she worked as a financial and administrative manager at the Center for Infectious Disease Preparedness in the School of Public Health, and before that at the Institute for Cognitive Studies. She possesses in-depth knowledge of University personnel/payroll, financial, contracts and grants, purchasing, and office management processes. Diana holds a PhD in Comparative Literature and a Master's degree in English
Lauren Lau is Administrative Assistant. Before joining HRA in 2006, Lauren worked at the Center for Infectious Disease Preparedness, also within the UC Berkeley School of Public Health. Lauren double-majored in Astrophysics and Cognitive Science at UC Berkeley, and is currently in graduate school, studying Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Gretchen Lutes is Director of Finance and Administration. She oversees contracts and budgets and directs administration. Before joining HRA in 2002, she worked in corporate business and personnel management, project administration, financial management and strategic planning. A graduate of UC Davis, she studied history with an emphasis on cultural history and race relations.
